The Innovate to Mitigate competition occurs in three phases: Abstract, Investigation, and Submission. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Abstract Phase<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Student teams submit a brief statement (250 words) describing how their idea relating to biodiversity<\/a> can help mitigate climate change.\u00a0The statements are open for crowdsourced discussion on our Canvas community learning site. Students use feedback from peers to revise and resubmit abstracts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ideas presented in the abstract should be innovative (i.e., adapting an idea from someone else rather than just copying it). An innovation <\/em>can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
